Now in its 5th year, Food & Drink Fest... The Festival with Taste has unquestionably out grown its original home at the Hamilton Convention Centre. With last year's 45 minute line ups to get in the door, it was evident that the time had come to make a move to Hamilton's largest and most renowned gathering place. Copps Coliseum will now be the site thousands of foodies and party goers will flock to check out, sample and experience the offerings of the region’s best  wineries, micro breweries and restaurants. Beyond the excitement of the show itself, many new and interesting developments are coming to life over the course of the three day event...

  • Celebrity Chef Laura Calder, author of "French Taste" and host of the Food Network's "French Food at Home" will present two cooking demonstrations and booking signings on Sunday 1pm & 3pm.  Chef Calder will showcase easy, elegant recipes paired up with local wines. Laura's light hearted, accessible approach to food will certainly be a highlight for fans of all things appetizing!
  • With the explosion of interest in local food, consumers now have more choices of products, labels, and ways to shop. People are no longer just asking 'what's for dinner', they want to know what's in dinner. Food & Drink Fest will be highlighting the need for local focus and encouraging residents to take advantage of the readily available resources abundantly present in the Hamilton area. Head lining this initiative at the show will be Local Celebrity Chef Jeff Crump, Executive Chef at Ancaster Old Mill and author of "Earth to Table".
  • The Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance has identified Hamilton as a potential Culinary Tourist Destination, which would mean great things for the city of Hamilton. With the large diversity of ethnicities represented, popular agri-tourism destinations and our close proximity to the country's most successful wine region; Hamilton certainly has a lot to offer residents and visitors looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. Food & Drink Fest is proud to be a flagship event for this exciting prospect and is ready to showcase all the region has to offer at this year’s Food & Drink Fest.
  • Remembering the importance of community is a key facet and ongoing mission for the producers of Food & Drink Fest. We will be launching our "Help Stock the Shelves" partnership with Hamilton Food Share. Attendees of the event will be encouraged to join in and bring nonperishable food items in support of Hamilton Food Share's efforts to provide hunger relief to local families in need.

Food & Drink Fest...the Festival with Taste has surpassed simply being an annual three day event in Hamilton. It is now facilitating and embracing new and exciting ventures for the city as a whole. Small businesses, established cartel, local entrepreneurs, provincial investors, regional celebrities and aware, motivated, passionate consumers will be present and ready to learn, taste and enjoy all that our city has to offer.
